German supervisory authority announces liquidation of and appointment of a liquidator for an insurance company

On 20 July 2015, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) has announced its decision to commence winding up proceedings concerning the insurance company BVAG Berliner Versicherung AG. Ms Dr. Petra Hilgers has been appointed liquidator of the company.

BaFin has announced the above resolutions on the basis of the Directive on the reorganization and winding up of insurance undertakings.
