Kaisa Forsström to head Insurance Supervision at the FIN-FSA

Kaisa Forsström, LLM, has been appointed Head of Insurance Supervision at the FIN-FSA for a five-year term, commencing 11 September 2017. The Head of Department is a member of the FIN-FSA’s management group and reports directly to the Director General. 

Ms Forsström is transferring to her new post as Head of Department from Veritas Pension Insurance Company. She has 25 years of experience in the employee pension sector. In her most recent employment, she discharged managerial duties in corporate services, well-being at work, communications and administration, while also deputising for the CEO.

Entities supervised by the Insurance Supervision department include non-life, life and employee pension insurers, as well as unemployment funds. The department is responsible for conducting supervision of solvency and risk control of supervised entities. The department’s experts also participate actively in European cooperation.
